About the Awards: How The 2024 Nominees Were Chosen
Voting Period
From January 30 until February 17, 2024 the Cloth Diapers for Beginners community, including the Facebook community, Reddit cloth diaper community, and newsletter subscribers voted for their favorites among the nominees in each category. The results are shown above.
Nomination Phase Recap
From January 11 to January 22, 2024, the Cloth Diapers for Beginners community nominated their favorite products and brands. This process helped narrow down the finalists you see today.
What If the Diaper/Brand I Nominated is Not On the Voting List?
To keep our awards fair and community-focused, self-nominations were disqualified. This means it was not possible to nominate your own company or have your paid representatives do it for you.
Some nominations were also disqualified as they were placed under the wrong category. For example, nominations of all-in-two “snap-in” diapers or pocket diapers under the all-in-one diaper category were disqualified to keep the competition fair.
Finally, only businesses that have demonstrably been online and in business for at least one year qualified.
Before Nominations Began: Categories Recap
At the end of 2023, the whole awards process began by reaching out to the Cloth Diapers for Beginners community to create a comprehensive list of potential categories through a vote. The outcome? A finely tuned list of the 20 categories deemed most essential by cloth diapering parents in the Cloth Diapers for Beginners community.
By participating in the category selection process, the community has played a crucial role in shaping an awards program that truly represents the collective interests and preferences of cloth-diapering families.

Are These the Cloth Diapers I Recommend?
Some of the diapers chosen by the cloth diaper community are what I consider the best cloth diapers in each category but some are not.
All-in-all I think the community did a great job and their input is far more important than just my own! That said, here’s my list of the Best Cloth Diapers for Beginners if you’re interested in my take from my 8+ years in the industry.
